Your nose is congested, your throat has that itchy cough that won’t stop (especially not for bedtime), and it has become a growing fear that you may get lost under that dense blanket of tissues and never come out. Oh, and let’s not forget the medicine – you know, that thick syrup that tastes horrible, has a million ingredients and colorings, and gives kids (and adults) scrunched up unhappy faces. Bleh.

What is Similasan Kids Cold & Mucus Relief?

Similasan Kids Cold & Mucus Relief is a homeopathic remedy made for kids, though adults may also use it. It treats cold aliments such as mucus, cough, fever, and congestion.

It is gluten free, dairy free, dye free, non-drowsy, and not artificially flavored.

My Experience with this Product:

I woke up the morning of Thanksgiving with the flu. Not only did I miss out on turkey dinner and Black Friday shopping, but I was stuck in bed for days with a fever. After half of a week, the flu turned into more of a head cold, but I was still having trouble sleeping due to my fever and all of the congestion and continuous coughing. My mom went out to Walmart and picked up this product for me. Within a day and a half, my symptoms started going away. It took about three days for my symptoms to be gone (though I did still have a little congestion left over).

What I found great about this product was that it was not thick, it tasted very nice (it is not fruity; it tastes like sugar), it had no colors added, the ingredient list was short and natural, it came with its own measuring spoon (one side is for little kids, the other side is for bigger kids and adults), and it was fast acting.

Did not get rid of all of my mucus/congestion but it did improve it noticeably.
